Bowlers from Berkeley Lawn Bowling Club won both the PIMD Women’s Triples and Men’s Triples championships, held Saturday, September 12.

In the women’s competition, the team of Janie Hillyer (skip), Patricia Erwin (vice), and Judy Hillyer (lead) competed in a full round-robin tournament against three other teams at San Jose Lawn Bowls. They narrowly defeated the second-place team by three plus points. That team included two Berkeley bowlers, Janine Maddock and Bernie Chan.

The men’s team of Rob Hoey (skip), Chris Davis (vice), and Mike O’Leary (lead) won the men’s competition, finishing with two victories and one tie.
